Adam Birnbaum is emerging as one of the top young voices in jazz piano. Since arriving on the New York scene in 2003, he has become increasingly prominent performing in clubs and festivals around the world, working with artists as diverse as Greg Osby, Al Foster, Eddie Henderson, Carl Allen, and Wynton Marsalis. Adam's early education took place in Boston. In 2001 Adam became a member of the inaugural class of Jazz Studies at the Juilliard School. After graduating in 2003, Adam won the American Jazz Piano Competition in May 2004 to become the American Pianists Association's Cole Porter fellow in Jazz. Since then Adam has established a busy performing career as a sideman and as a leader. Adam performs regularly with Greg Osby, Al Foster and many others, as well as leading his own trio. Adam has maintained a private teaching studio in NYC for years, working with students of all ages and experience levels. New York based pianist, composer, and educator Jarrett Cherner loves both music and teaching, and his professional life has always embraced them both. After completing his undergraduate work at Tufts University (B.S. in Mathematics, 2003, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and the New England Conservatory of Music (U.D. in Jazz Piano Performance, 2004), Jarrett moved to San Francisco where he quickly gained a reputation as "one of the most exciting young pianist-composers on the Bay Area scene" (San Jose Mercury News), as well as an in demand educator, teaching at the San Jose Summer Jazz Workshop, the Berkeley Jazzschool's Summer Youth Program, and maintaining a small private studio. Jarrett has toured throughout the U.S. as well as in South America, Canada, and Europe, both leading his own trio and working as a sideman. His debut album as a leader, Burgeoning (2005), earned him recognition from the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Awards and critics alike. In 2008, Jarrett relocated to New York City where he's currently performing, teaching, and completing a graduate degree at the Manhattan School of Music. Pianist Gabriel Guerrero is an experienced teacher/performer/composer recording artist and high demand musician in the jazz world today. His extensive knowledge on the instrument on the field of jazz, Latin music and South American music makes him a first call artist in the scene. As a performer Gabriel has participated in numerous acts in the US and abroad. He has recorded and toured with world acclaimed saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi, and Grammy award-winning pianist Danilo Perez. His teaching experience includes clinics, lessons and ensemble coaching at Berklee College of Music, New England Conservatory, St. Paul School, Sergio Arboleda University, and Fernando Sor School, among others. Gabriel approaches each student as a person, finding the potential to succeed in music. Having classical training from age 5 gives Gabriel a great teaching perspective. He has a profound knowledge of piano techniques, postures, projection, sound, as well as harmony and rhythm, and he has developed a wide variety of fun routines to practice. Gabriel develops with students the basic fundamentals of the instrument, and is proficient teaching classical, jazz, and Latin music. Randy Ingram is a thoughtful, versatile young pianist, composer and improviser, with an expressive touch and a keen imagination. Since moving to Brooklyn in the fall of 2003 he has become an in-demand sideman and band leader and gained a reputation as one of the most promising up-and-coming pianists of his generation. His debut record, "The Road Ahead", will be released this October on the Brooklyn Jazz Underground label, and features his trio of Matt Clohesy (bass) and Jochen Rueckert (drums), as well as special guest John Ellis (saxophones). Originally from Laguna Beach, CA, Randy received a scholarship to the University of Southern California and quickly became a fixture on the Los Angeles jazz scene, apprenticing with Tierney Sutton, Joe LaBarbera and the great Billy Higgins. Upon graduating, he received another scholarship to get his Masters' degree at the New England Conservatory in Boston, MA, where he studied with his two mentors, Fred Hersch and Danilo Perez. Upon arriving in NYC he has recorded and performed with Ben Monder, Kate McGarry, Joel Frahm, Joe Locke, Mike Moreno and Kendrick Scott. He has performed at many of the best jazz clubs in the country, including Birdland, the Jazz Standard, Regattabar and the Catalina Bar and Grill. He is a recipient of the 2007 ASCAP Young Jazz Composer's award. An experienced educator, Randy has given numerous college clinics, has taught at the University of New Hampshire, and is currently on the faculty of the Larchmont Music Academy. Sunny Knable is an award-winning composer, classical pianist, jazz player, songwriter, percussionist and educator. As a composer, he has won three "Best Composition" awards at the Festival of New American Music, and recently is the recipient of the Iron Composers Award (for which he wrote a 4 minute piece in 5 hours). His works have been heard in California, Florida, North Carolina, New York, Italy, China, and Hong Kong. After receiving his Bachelors of Music Degree in Composition, Piano and Jazz Studies at California State University Sacramento, he moved to New York City, where he makes his living as a pianist. In 2011, he will receive a Masters of Arts Degree in Composition at the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College, CUNY.

Pianist Sean Wayland Sean Wayland was born in Sydney, Australia, and currently resides in New York. He is well known and respected for his prolific writing, and unique harmony and rhythm. He has had 20 years experience as a teacher of all ages and styles of piano, including early elementary through college age students and adults. Sean studied jazz at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 1992 and 1993. He also has a Masters degree in contemporary music performance from the Australian Institute of Music . While at the Conservatorium he received the Jack Chrostowski piano award. In 1993 he was a finalist in the National Jazz Piano Awards at the Wangaratta Festival. In 1999 Sean received a grant from the Australia Council to study jazz piano in New York which helped him to relocate there. Sean has worked with a number of internationally renowned musicians including Madeliene Peyroux, Keith Carlock, Tim Lefebvre, Adam Rogers Tim Miller, Ingrid Jensen, Jon Gordon, Dave Smith, Dan Pratt, Ike Sturm, Matt Geraghty, The Dangit-Bobbys, Moses Patrou, Cornell Dupree, Jesse Harris, and Sheryl Bailey. Sean has released over 14 critically acclaimed CDs, and he has performed in many countries including U.S.A, China, Japan, England, Germany , Hong Kong and New Zealand under his own name. In 2004, with his trio, Sean made the first instructional jazz DVD produced in China by foreigners. He has appeared on numerous other jazz releases including albums by David Binney, Elana Stone, Tim Hopkins, Banana, John Mackie and Nick McBride and Luca Benedetti. Winner of the 2002 Great American Jazz Piano Competition and a former guest on Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz, pianist/composer/vocalist Deanna Witkowski has been heralded for her "consistently thrilling playing" (All Music Guide). Her new sacred jazz release, From This Place, with musicians including Donny McCaslin and John Patitucci, was recently profiled on NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday. Witkowski's previous three releases, Length of Days (2005), Wide Open Window (2003), and Having to Ask (2000) clearly demonstrated her prowess as "one of the best of the new generation of jazz pianists" (Jazz Journal International) and showcased her rich fusions of jazz, Brazilian, and Afro-Cuban music. In May 2009, Witkowski presented Moving with the Spirit: The Sacred Jazz of Mary Lou Williams at the Kennedy Center's Mary Lou Williams Festival. Moving has also been presented at Duke University and at the International Association for Jazz Education conference. Witkowski also embodies a love of Brazilian culture. Fluent in Portuguese, she has toured twice in Brazil, most recently appearing at the Recife Jazz Festival. Since 2006 she has been the pianist in the BMI/New York Jazz Composers Orchestra. She has also recorded and/or toured with Lizz Wright, James Finn, Vanderlei Pereira's Blindfold Test, the Schumacher/Sanford Sound Assembly, Joseph C. Phillips' Numinous, and the Diva Jazz Orchestra. Witkowski holds an M.A. in jazz piano performance from the City College of New York and a B.M. in classical piano performance from Wheaton College (IL).
