Vocal Programs and Workshops for All Levels
Whether you are a professional vocalist or a complete beginner, New York Jazz Academy® offers an opportunity for you to work with mentors and other like-minded vocalists and take it to the next level. Our teachers are active vocalists on the NYC scene and are leaders in the world of jazz performance and instruction.
Online Instruction
NYJA® Online Classes have been available and thriving at New York Jazz Academy® for years! All you need to get started is a webcam, broadband internet connection, and a video-conferencing account, which your teacher will arrange with you. If you are ready to start online jazz classes or online private music lessons you can start any time. NYJA® Online features rolling admission.
Summer Jazz Intensives
NYJA® Summer Jazz Intensives are NYC’s most popular summer jazz programs for jazz musicians, including both teens and adults. These unique summer music camps emphasize practical playing experience through a variety of classes, clinics, and performance activities for today’s jazz musician. NYJA® Summer Jazz Intensives include a completely immersive jazz experience that incorporates visits to major New York City jazz venues, including clubs and historical sites, along with visits with influential players on the NYC jazz scene.
Winter/Spring/Custom Jazz Intensives
NYJA® Winter/Spring/Custom Jazz Intensives are an offshoot of NYJA®’s popular summer jazz programs for jazz musicians, including both teens and adults. These unique music camps emphasize practical playing experience through a variety of classes, clinics, and performance activities for today’s jazz musician. NYJA® Jazz Intensives include a completely immersive jazz experience that incorporates visits to major New York City jazz venues, including clubs and historical sites, along with visits with influential players on the NYC jazz scene.

Do you love to sing? Are you craving an environment that is made just for you, your vocal interests and goals? NYJA® Vocal Jazz Intensives offer a completely immersive experience for vocalists to delve into jazz training over a short-form, 2-day period.
Jelly Jamz
Jelly Jamz, the early childhood division of New York Jazz Academy®, introduces jazz music to young children, ages 6 months to 4 years. The dynamic Jelly Jamz curriculum draws upon classic and modern jazz, original songs, and traditional folk and world music while encouraging musical development through improvisation and the integration of song, dance, rhythm and movement.
