Whether you are an advanced jazz musician or a beginner interested in learning what jazz is all about, New York Jazz Academy® programs offer an opportunity for musicians of all levels to work with mentors and other like-minded musicians. All NYJA® teachers are active musicians on the NYC scene and are leaders in the world of jazz performance and instruction. Offerings include options for aspiring jazz professionals, hobbyists, complete beginners, adults of all ages, and also teens and children. NYJA students have won major international competitions and honors, including DownBeat Magazine awards, first-prize in the Montreux Jazz Fest piano competition, scholarships to top universities (Berklee, MSM, Eastman, Stanford, Harvard, New England Conservatory), work with Broadway musicals, Cirque du Soleil, cruise ships around the world, major orchestras, and much more.
