New York Jazz Academy contracts only our very best students for gigs. These students are highly accomplished performers, and you can request for teens or adult performers, if age matters to you. Rates are generally lower for NYJA student musicians, and their performances help fund their education with NYJA. It’s a win-win for everyone! Dress code and appearance is typically formal black, but the look of the ensemble can generally be tailored to fit your event requirements. Typical styles and ensembles include the following:
 
Soloists: voice, saxophone, piano, guitar and more
Duos: voice/piano, sax/piano, sax/bass, and more
Trios: voice, sax, piano, guitar, bass, drums and more
Small ensembles: Quartets, quintets, and larger
