Jazz Foundations, a new course authored by NYJA® founder Javier Arau (a two-time Grammy®-nominee for the Grammy® Educator award), is designed for any musician looking to unlock some of jazz music’s greatest puzzles, including swing, groove, basic improvisation, note grouping, functional harmony, melodic shape, bebop foundations, and much more. Each session is designed to engage and inform. Those enrolled may choose to play or simply observe.
